Topics for the webpage:

  • Introduction page (general goals) 0.5 group
  • Open Science (literature review, explanations, 0.5 group)
  • Why did we go to Patscherkofel and made measurements there? (0.5 group)
  • AWS data results (one group at least, maybe 2)
  • EcoBot (one group)
  • Radiative forcing of albedo: worst case scenario computations (2 groups?)
  • One page about the difficulty of computing radiative forcing of ANY CO2 emmission (literature review: one group)

We have to publish the data and the code (including DOI) on Zenodo.

Discussion about the radiative forcing models

Radiative Forcing side of Albedo:

  • Albedo of various land surfaces + uncertainties
  • Solar radiation data (incoming)
  • DEM: -> terrain inclination (as input for a radiation model)
  • Land surface map: for albedo values
  • Cloudiness (maybe obtained from cloudiness)
  • for a radiation model
  • Spatial and temporal evolution of snow cover w & wo artifical snow
  • LW radiation budget -> we change the shortwave but what about SW?

Radiative Forcing side of CO2:

  • full C02 emission budget:
    • energy needed for production (snow guns)
    • installation of snow guns
    • water (lakes / dams)
    • snow redistribution (?)
  • conversion model between CO2 -> delta RF (difficult topic: BUT there are some empirical formulas)
