I have sad news to pass along on that front. Tony Collen, N0RUA/AE0KW, author of Open890, a friend of mine, and an all around amazing person, passed away unexpectedly on July 17th. I'm glad I got to share a little time with him going to local ham fests, and dragging him down to Dayton Hamvention this spring.

Tony was a wonderful person and his contributions to ham radio cannot be understated. We had often talked about how wfview and open890 could work together. I wanted to add Kenwood capability to wfview, and Tony wanted to add Icom control to open890. I'm truly sad that we will not be able to go on those journeys together. I am sure though that we will get there eventually, in spirit, working with the code he wrote and curated so carefully. Tony and I both appreciated the natural open source nature of ham radio and I hope that you all will continue along that path in all that you do.

Tony, you were a great person, and you will be missed by many.
