Each time update_all is run, the downloader makes 3 downloader log files for that specific run.
It should produce 1 downloader log & cycle through past logs with the backup numbers 1-5.
IE -
downloader_old5.log
downloader_old4.log
downloader_old3.log
downloader_old2.log
downloader_old1.log
downloader.log
It should NOT be making 2 extra logs with empty contents per run of update_all.
All 3 logs are produced in the time for that run within the timespan of ~10 seconds.
EG, from a single run -
(downloader_old2.log) :
Downloader 2.3 (4ef) by theypsilon. Run time: 00:02.03s at 2025-12-01 22:29:43
(downloader_old1.log) :
Downloader 2.3 (4ef) by theypsilon. Run time: 00:04.25s at 2025-12-01 22:29:48
(downloader.log) :
Downloader 2.3 (4ef) by theypsilon. Run time: 00:04.07s at 2025-12-01 22:29:53
Something is clearly wrong with how it’s producing its backup logs & makes 2 extra each time it’s run.
And, in case it’s asked, no I did not run it multiple times in a 10 second span, if that were even physically possible (I kept script running confirmation on so I need to navigate through that in order to reach the script list. Pressing Up followed by a multiple presses of L on the Dpad to optimally navigate to the update_all script. I have timed myself at being able to do in just under 10 seconds (9.89s). Then I’d have to press down to have the script run with the current config, making running it multiple times in such a short span impossible.
Files for proof/testing. Examine timestamps at the end of the files. Pertinent files under .config/downloader. 5,4,3 are one run. 2,1,(0 - unnumbered) are another :
