When replying to a parent post, send a small reply to the triggering post as well

We talked about this one a long time ago, and I 100% agree with you here. That confirmation lets the invoker know we've addressed their concern.

Something to think about for implementation: When we start collecting metrics, do we disaggregate info for these posts that confirm completion of the --tell-parent operation? I don't think we should include these as part of our metrics individually (as far as number of posts, etc), but I think we should include any "karma" generated from these posts because the positive/negative feedback on the confirmation post still gives insight into the "sentiment" toward the bot's activities.

I actually don't think this is necessary! When I just used the --parent option to post the --why-warren examples, I still saw a message in my inbox, because the planbot reply mentions my username in the reply :D
