Description
1. Problem Statement
When managing large datasets with millions of rows—such as pending reviews, quality checks, or client follow-ups—our team currently lacks a way to set automated reminders for specific rows. In our previous software, we could attach a reminder to a record that would trigger an email notification at a scheduled time. Without this functionality in Teable, we are forced to rely on manual tracking methods, external notes, or memory to follow up on critical tasks. This leads to missed deadlines, decreased efficiency, and increased operational risk.
2. Desired Solution
We request the ability to add row-level reminders in Teable. This feature would enable users to:
- Set a date and time for a reminder directly within a row.
- Receive an email (or in-app) notification when the reminder is due.
- Optionally, include customizable reminder reasons (e.g., “Follow up,” “Review required,” “Approve by”).
This would allow teams to manage deadlines, reviews, and action items without manually tracking each row or relying on external systems.
3. Example Use Case
For a row representing a customer complaint ticket, a manager could set a reminder to “Follow up in 48 hours.” When the time arrives, the assigned user receives an email with a direct link to the row, ensuring timely resolution.
4. Impact & Benefits
- Improves Accountability: Ensures no task or review is overlooked.
- Saves Time: Eliminates manual note-taking and calendar tracking.
- Scales with Data: Essential for teams handling large volumes of records where manual follow-up is impractical.
