Feature Request for Enhanced Row Highlighting and Comment Management in Teable

1. Problem Statement
When managing large tables in Teable—such as Quality Tickets, Complaints, Order Deliveries, and Invoices—our team previously relied on Excel’s conditional formatting to highlight rows requiring review. In Teable, this capability is currently unavailable, which makes it difficult to prioritize and locate rows that need attention.

Additionally, while Teable allows comments on rows, the current comment system only places a small marker beside a row. There is no way to filter rows based on whether they have comments, forcing our team to manually scan through large tables—a significant challenge when dealing with millions of rows.

2. Desired Solution
We propose two key enhancements to improve visibility and workflow efficiency:

• Conditional Row Coloring & Filtering:
  Introduce an option to apply conditional formatting, allowing users to automatically color rows based on specific criteria (e.g., status, date, or custom field values). Users should also be able to filter rows by their assigned color.

• Comment-Based Highlighting & Filtering:
  Enable the option to highlight or color rows that contain comments. Additionally, provide a way to filter rows based on comment presence (e.g., “Has comments” or “Unresolved comments”), making it easier to locate and address flagged items.

3. Alternative Solutions Considered
Currently, we rely on creating separate views for different purposes (including client-specific views), but this mixes and clutters our workspace. While other tools offer built-in comment highlighting and conditional formatting, we would strongly prefer to have these capabilities directly integrated into Teable.

4. Impact & Use Case
This feature would significantly enhance productivity for teams managing large datasets by:

• Reducing time spent manually searching for items that need review.
• Streamlining workflows for quality control, complaint resolution, and order tracking.
• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace without excessive reliance on separate views.
