Grabbing thumbs and description from the videos

Hey, I attached two screenshots: one from quite outdated now Invidious and the second one from Piped. As you can see, Invidious provides proper description and thumbnail for the video (it doesn't get fanart though) with Arctic Fuse 2 skin. Could you please check whether Piped can get this data properly?

Piped does not provide the description when listing videos from the Feed and Playlists. I have no idea why...

In order to get the description, a request would have to be made for every video in the list, which would be way too slow and overload the Piped instance.

However, Piped does provide the description when listing videos from Trending and Channels.
I will add the description for these sections for the next release.

I made the changes to add descriptions (when available), dates and fanart.

Optionally, descriptions can be disabled from the settings.

Also, is your fork of SponsorBlock that supports Piped avaliable through some repository or manual file changes are the only way to get it?

Simply install the SponsorBlock addon for Kodi.
The code from my fork has been merged into the main addon.

Although, you might need to download the code from the Github repo, since its developer did not make a new release after merging the code for Piped.

It's already in there, I just haven't made a new release with this change.

I tested it:

• I don't get descriptions on Arctic Fuse in any view from any Piped list (description is still a title)
• I don't get info about published day and duration
• Fanart/thumbnail are working on Feed, Watch History, and are blank on Trending, Subscriptions

Thumbnails for the videos are the only thing that is working now, but only in certain lists. Would you like me to grab logs?

In playlists, Piped provides very little information about the videos in the list.

For playlists, the Piped instance only returns:

• Video Title
• Channel + Avatar
• Video URL + Audio/Video Streams
• Duration
• Thumbnail

No description, date, time...

This needs to be changed upstream in Piped.

You should definitely be able to see the duration, though. Even in playlists.

I have made a few changes on my end regarding the metadata. I'll push the code to Github, soon.
