Video (not audio) stops playing after a short amount of time

This happened multiple times now. Sometimes it plays for a minute or two, sometimes it happens after something like 20 seconds.
For reference I used https://youtube.fam-ribbers.com/watch?v=gS5zRfNZR8A as a video.
I couldn't reproduce it on every video but on the linked video it happens consistently enough that the video is basically unwatchable.

• The InputStream Adaptive addon is installed and enabled

I was unable to reproduce this on my end.

My guess would be that this is an issue produced by InputStream Adaptive changing video quality.

If you still have this issue, can you try to set "Stream selection type" to "Ask quality" in your InputStream Adaptive settings to see if it fixes the problem?

It will ask you which stream you want before playing each video, InputStream Adaptive won't try to switch streams mid-play.

I'm experiencing the same issue - the video freezes while the audio continues to play normally. I'm not sure if @PureTryOut has tested this already, but if I skip ahead by about 10 seconds, the playback becomes normal and the video runs smoothly until the end.

I'm not sure I've tried that, but to be honest I haven't experience this for a quite a while. I'm not sure what changed though.

Something like this happens to me too (it goes to black) and after rewinding a bit it fixes it. As far as I can tell this stems from automatic adjustment of the video quality. (Noticeable if the video quality dispcay or media information is turned on in the player interface)

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a way to force it to use a cartain quality directly instead of using the adaptive player? Because that would be an easy workaround otherwise.
