TileMap dissapears upon opening another tab

I am using Linux Distribution for 6.1 and it has a strange habit:

• Open up a tilemap.
• Switch tabs.
• When you move back to the tilemap tab, the map is gone.

The only way to resolve this is to open up the tab afresh from the file explorer.
