Randomized patterns and/or the ability to add patterns by tapping.

Here's an idea: instead of wrapping around to the first pattern (i.e. no pattern), just keep generating new patterns after the randomized pattern. This would require an actual sequencer component, I'd imagine. This isn't too hard in itself, since we already have tick functionality.
