- Your purpose in using this API:
I would like to fetch one or two daily hadith references/summaries from Sunni hadith collections for a personal planning dashboard. The app also has a Hijri calendar, so close to major Islamic dates such as Ashura, Arafah, Ramadan, Laylat al-Qadr, Eid, and Hajj days, it would show relevant hadith references and light daily wird/reminder guidance. The use case is read-only, low-volume, and not intended for bulk scraping, redistribution, or resale.
Low-volume personal app usage is sufficient.
- Maximum requests per second:
1 request per second or less.
- Maximum requests per day:
100 requests per day or less.
- Is your use case better served by having an offline dump of hadith data or programmatic API access?
Programmatic API access is preferred so the dashboard can rotate daily references and filter by collection/theme without bundling a large dataset. An offline dump could also work if that is the maintainers' preferred route later.
- What are the languages in which would you like hadith data?
English and Arabic, if available.
- What programming language will your API client be in?
TypeScript/JavaScript. The secret key will be used only from a local/server-side proxy, not directly from a browser bundle.
