What is the function of the URL Text Template?

Hi,
what is the Purpose of the text input field "URL"? From the Documentation I dont get what it is supposed to be used for. My guess is, that I can Enter an URL in Home Assistant that will be displayed on the Client?

Yes, your assumption is correct. This functionality was added at the last stage and wasn't documented.
