Custom syntaxes and reflection

From what I've seen, this is a pretty promising project, but it's going to take a while to implement all the features Skript has.

Based on that, I'm suggesting adding something similar to the skript-mirror addon, which allows you to use Java code inside the script, and create custom syntaxes that can be used easily.

I have no idea how complicated (or if it's possible) to implement this suggestion. If you liked the suggestion, I can give more ideias/details about it.

I think it'd definitely possible to handle the syntax shown in the examples on the website you linked. However, I think this only creates more work than there currently is. While implementing the syntax shown on that website, would probably be much quicker than implementing the syntax that's currently left, implementing the leftover Skript syntax inside a script itself would have some drawbacks. The main drawback would be that the execution speed would be significantly lowered, since we then have to execute Skript code instead of Java code. This is worsened by the usage of reflection, since reflection isn't the most lightweight task. Even with optimal caching, every method, class, field etc. has to be looked up once, which still decreases performance.

If we were to implement both skript-mirror syntax and the normal Skript syntax as Java code, the time it'd take to implement everything would take even longer, since on top of the normal Skript syntax, skript-mirror syntax would need to be added.
