How to specify Redis Sentinel configuration in config file

Hi

I'm looking for some guidance or documentation on how to sepcify the settings for the RedisSentinelBackend via a config file. I guess I can probably specify <prefix>.arguments.sentinels = ..., but I'm not sure how the libary expects me to specify the tuples of (host, port) that I would specify via Python-based configuration.

Any help much appreciated.

the docs for this backend are at https://dogpilecache.sqlalchemy.org/en/latest/api.html#dogpile.cache.backends.redis.RedisSentinelBackend and feature a configuration example, that's also in the source code, is this sufficient?

oh via config file. Usually with .ini format you'd make some kind of a list of sentinel names, then indicate them individually later on. take a look at how logging.config does it. probably not whole new sections, but you'd need to use some creativity here. or maybe just a line format, sentinels=host:port,host:port, ...

Sorry, to clarify, I'm trying to get it working with .configure_from_config(). I was wondering if there was something that worked "out of the box" with a config dict that maps from string to string (i.e. the sort of thing you would get from configparse etc.). If not, I can do further processing, but it looked from some of the other examples like it at least knew how to deal with e.g. comma-separated lists of IP addresses.

looking now, and no there's not. There's a framework in dogpile where RedisSentinelBackend could provide a .from_config_dict method to help with this but there's not one implemented
