Support for Exisitng Mapping library ?

Hi , my first thanks to this wonderful library , I have integrated it to enable people to download OSM data in sozip compressed optimization (https://github.com/hotosm/raw-data-api) , I am wondering if there is a plan or possibility that we can use it in existing mapping library to visualize data directly ? like openlayers / leaflet

That would require a JavaScript port. As I'm only a C++ and Python dev, someone else will have to contribute this :-)

A great use case of sozip is to compress flatgeobuf files, giving the ability to RANGE request and also have compression (when reading with GDAL).

To read on the web, if the file is S3 based, perhaps a Lambda function could be used to extract the requested range and return a specific file from within the zip.

s3 can accept range as header so i think format like flatgeobuff compressed inside zip , it can directly streamed from s3 , I will test this approach and come back

Just to clarify: SOZip use case is to be able to decompress random parts within big file(s) compressed in a zip. It doesn't bring anything new w.r.t standard ZIP for the use case of many small files in a zip
