Idea: Zero Front-End Stuff

I see this plugin loads a CSS file and a JS file on the front end of my site.

e.g.

That usually is enough for me to be like nahhhhhh on a plugin. 2 extra HTTP requests just for a table of contents doesn't seem worth it yah know?

It doesn't seem like the do all that much so maybe they are skippable?

Would a toggle work? We could put a toggle on the guidepost block that let's people choose if they want us to load the front end stuff or not. You'd only lose smooth scrolling and the to the top button if you turn it off. I'd remove it all the way but I imagine there are some people who may want it.
