Dr. Hammonds-Odie reported data loss after the push to master and deployment on December 10th, 2019. We have a backup of the database before the push and upon loading the backup data's sites collection into the development database, the records showed the correct data. This implies (but doesn't guarantee) that the changes introduced since the push to master on 12/10/19 aren't responsible, but be on the lookout for additional reports of data loss upon pushing to master and deploying to live.
If it happens again, investigating site.ejs and sites.js, in particular, may be fruitful.
