What is status of `SQLite-Data` support?

Hello,
Since there were some required changes from upstream repos of SQLite-Data and they were merged, I wonder what is the status of supporting this package in Skip projects?
I appreciate your time and efforts you've put into it.

There is still a ways to go. The main blocking issue to date was GRDB Android support, where we've finally arrived at a (non-ideal) stopgap solution by supporting "friendly forks" (see groue/GRDB.swift#1845 (comment)). In theory sqlite-data should build against our SQLite source build fork at https://github.com/swift-everywhere/grdb-flex.

The main blockers now the are various other dependencies in sqlite-data (see https://github.com/pointfreeco/sqlite-data/blob/main/Package.swift), which will require some work to get Android support. The main one is swift-composable-architecture, which has thus far been blocked on its Combine dependency, but which is likely to be removed in TCA 2 (see pointfreeco/swift-composable-architecture#3805). If @Joannis has been tracking this, perhaps he has further insights.

I've been hoping to get time to dig into this, since I think all the TCA packages would benefit greatly from Android (and Linux) support, but it doesn't look like that will happen any time soon. Help wanted!

P.S. We're also curious to hear from @stephencelis or @mbrandonw about their level of interest in Android support for sqlite-data. We are hesitant to undertake a lot of work on this unless there is an expressed interest in receiving contributions for non-Darwin support.

Thanks for your detailed explanation!
I understood that we still have long way to go in order to reach an estate to use SQLite-Data in Skip, but with the GRDB changes looks like we came half of the way and hoping to see it working sooner than later.
If it's ok, let's leave this issue open as a tracker for the SQLite-Data support and further discussions.

🎊 Once we get Swift 6.3 (with the officially-supported Android SDK) over the finish line, I'll dedicate some effort into getting PRs filed with Android CI support to help identify which packages need work.

I looked into this in the past, and will be digging into this alongside TCA 2.0 Android support! I'll post what I'm finding here.

structured-queries has been a hurdle for awhile. Until very recently compiler assertions made it impossible to compile sqlite-data using any swift toolchain except for the XCode one, which was a blocker for skip.

I was just able to compile it using the macOS swift-6.3 toolchain, so that must have been resolved in the last few weeks.

so swift build works, but skip android build now fails with an error.

I think this is an issue because the host platform is Darwin, but the output is Android?

I also believe Observation support is going to be another hurdle to getting all these libraries working properly.
