Bayanat usernames can't have dot "." in it

Describe the bug
Installed a normal installation of Bayanat Open Source - Created usernames in bayanat with "." but user will be unable to login.

To Reproduce

1. Go to admin-> users
2. add username with "." such as "sam.qi"
3. User will be unable to login even with correct password
4. only if username is changed to samqi then user can login

Expected behavior
User able to use periods in username. Otherwise, documentation or UI should alert.

Hi there. Thanks for your report.

This isn't really a bug. We added in this version validation for username and emails. This is to increase security.

To solve this, if you have an admin account with not dots, simply login and remove the dots from all usernames. Users will be able to login with their new usernames afterwards. If you have no admin account without dots, let us know and we'll provide steps to get this fixed.

Just want to know, is the validation for username & emails also available in the open source version?
Asking as I did not observe any email/smtp related configuration in the Bayanat configuration documentation.

We only have one version, and yes the validations are now in the latest stable release.

This config page is for .env settings, email and stmp configuration are available through the system settings dashboard from frontend.
