Calling 2 different versions of faraday

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Put gem "google-api-client", "~> 0.6.3" in your gemfile
2. run bundle install, then bundle update

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect that to not have a problem and install, as per instructions, instead I 
get this 

Bundler could not find compatible versions for gem "faraday":
  In Gemfile:
    google-api-client (~> 0.6.3) ruby depends on
      faraday (~> 0.8.4) ruby

    google-api-client (~> 0.6.3) ruby depends on
      faraday (0.9.0.rc5)

I'm on Mountain Lion, ruby 1.9.3 and rails 3.2.13
