Does an issue for this already exist?

  • I have searched the existing issues
  • I have ensured my environment (operating system, app launcher, etc) is up to date

Operating System and Version

Fedora 43

Launcher

Lutris (Recommended)

Launcher Installation

Flatpak (Recommended)

Other Install

I have also tried to fix this with other install methods (i.e. Bottles and new wine 11 method but they didn't fix it)

Wine Version

ElementalWarrior (Recommended)

Affinity Version

3.x

Desktop Environment

GNOME

Description

When using any drawing tool with the tablet, the cursor will be visually offset from what you actually draw. On GNOME, the issue seems to be tied to the Scale, as switching from 200% -> 100% fixes the issue, regardless of wine prefix DPI.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Follow the recommended Lutris install method for Affinity (or your preference of installation method) on Fedora 43 GNOME.
  2. Set the display scaling to more than 100% (i.e. through GNOME Settings).
  3. Open Affinity and create a new project.
  4. Select any brush tool and draw on the canvas.

Expected behaviour

The drawing should have no offset from the cursor.

Config

I saw from some other posts that the Affinity V3 Plugin Loader fixed the issue, but it wasn't able to fix it on my install.

Self-service

  • I'd be willing to fix this issue myself.
