Error message when editing website/blocking entry

I've just installed this and trying to get this to work. I got an error message from the following:
Entering "*.tumblr.com" and clicking "Add to the list" created a new table with some default blocking values, and more specific(?) syntax for the webpage
I realised these values weren't what I needed, so clicked the edit button on that row
Nothing happened
Wrote "tumblr.com" into the text bar ("Website that you want to be blocked"), hit enter, that disappeared but otherwise nothing happened
Same with "youtube.com", and with clicking the "Add to the list button"
Refreshed the page, and got this error message. This error persists through closing and reopening the tab, and disabling and re-enabling the add-on, but not uninstalling and re-installing it.

Hope you can get this fixed!! On paper this tool seems really useful and helpful, and no other add-ons seem to offer blocking things based on schedules.

Ah yeah it works after giving it an actually ok url (turns out idk how to use RegEx), I'm assuming it's just a data sanitation issue

Hey, thanks for reporting this. You're right, it is a data sanitation issue, I fixed it once before, but unfortunately managed to break it since then. I'll try to fix it today, sorry it happened to you.

Hey, I'm actually having trouble replicating this. There does appear to be a check that should prevent this in the current version. What is the version you have installed and can you still replicate the bug after you uninstalled and reinstalled the extension?

I can replicate it, but the way to enter it is different than I thought:

• Enter the website
• Click "Edit"
• The options menu for that row appears. Exit it. (I can't remember if I clicked off of it or pressed escape)
• Click "Edit" again. The menu doesn't appear this time, and it enters that bugged state.
  I'm trying to get a recording of it happening, but am unable to get it to happen again after re-installing it (it stops me closing the menu and I'm pretty sure I didn't click "cancel")

If you could get a recording, that would be amazing, though I suspect you might have originally had an older version, which didn't have the fix.

Huh, that's really weird, I just can't seem to replicate it. Would you be able to check the developer console (by pressing the F12 key) and paste here the output, if there is any? There might be some hints in there as to what is happening.

I don't think the console has been properly copied (it seems to have just taken the surface level text), so if you want more detail on any of these please lmk.

And when this happens, does that always leads to the "Something broke" screen? And is the issue persistent?

Just a thought, but could you check if changing the check interval in the settings has any effect on this? I don't know how the bug works exactly, but I would sort of expect that you will be more likely to get into this state with lower numbers (like 1 second) and less likely with higher numbers. That might possibly be a viable mitigation until a real fix. Also iirc that this setting is only applied when a tab is being freshly opened, so to test this properly you will have to close and reopen all your tabs.
