"Failed to get Wii controller status" with Wii U Pro Controller

Wii U Pro Controllers refuse to connect, with this exact same error. Windows 10 somewhat attempts to connect the device, but forgets about it fairly quickly. I have tried multiple controllers AND my Bluetooth drivers are all up-to-date.
