LineLoom's status indicator on the right side of the VS Code status bar opens a native Quick Actions picker when clicked. The same picker is available from Command Palette → LineLoom: Quick Actions.
| Action | What happens |
|---|---|
| Enable / Disable Autocomplete | Turns the entire provider on or off |
| Pause / Resume Automatic Suggestions | Toggles only automatic inference while typing; manual completion still works when enabled |
| Trigger Completion | Requests a suggestion explicitly at a valid single cursor |
| Pause / Resume Suggestions for This File | Session-only pause for the active local file, blocking both manual and automatic requests; other files stay enabled |
| Resume All Session-Paused Files | Clears all session file pauses, without modifying VS Code settings |
| Stop Current Generation (v1.2.1 candidate) | Aborts the current/queued LineLoom completion without pausing future automatic or manual suggestions |
| Select Model | Requests installed-model information from the validated Ollama endpoint and allows selection |
| Manage Languages | Chooses eligible VS Code editor language modes |
| Check Ollama Connection | Performs a user-requested endpoint connection check |
| Open Diagnostics | Displays configuration and aggregate counters without source snippets |
| Open Settings | Opens VS Code's LineLoom settings panel |
The current enable/automatic settings decide the picker labels. Selecting nothing makes no configuration change. Merely opening the picker does not contact Ollama. Selecting remote endpoint actions still follows the existing HTTPS and explicit approval checks.
Pause updates the existing lineloom.autoTrigger setting, persists across VS Code sessions and changes the ready indicator to LineLoom Manual. Typing no longer initiates a model completion, but the manual LineLoom: Trigger Completion command remains available if lineloom.enabled is true. Disable Autocomplete instead turns off all LineLoom completions. Resume restores automatic typing-triggered requests.
Pre-release validation note: unit tests exercise the picker model, and mocked extension-host tests verify the command behavior. Visual menu layout and actual locally installed models require manual testing.
Use LineLoom: Pause or Resume Suggestions for This File in the Command Palette, Quick Actions picker, or Control Center Active Editor section. This applies to both manual and automatic suggestions, unlike the global automatic pause. A file pause immediately cancels in-flight completion and is retained only until resumed or VS Code reloads/deactivates the extension. Other files are unaffected. The extension stores a bounded set of 128 hashed local file identifiers in memory; it does not log filenames or save paused paths to disk. A full pause set fails closed instead of silently resuming an old file. Use Resume All Session-Paused Files to clear it. A new session starts with no paused files. The dashboard shows counts only, not filenames. No model or network request is made by the pause/resume command.
The native status bar displays LineLoom File Paused when the active file is paused. Switching to another file restores the ordinary enabled/manual status. The status indicator is computed locally and reveals no path, file contents or model credentials.
