Delete works precisely once

I came across another issue while working on the terminal piece of my Neovim configuration: the delete ability of the toggleterm manager works precisely once. I can hit the default key <C-d> to delete the selected terminal just fine, but then after that it doesn't work anymore until I close and re-open the toggleterm manager telescope UI. Any suggestions?
