Description

The syncthing app is available in the store and it works fine.
my problem is that by default, the creation of a new folder for syntonization is suggested in /var/syncthing. This is a bit strange. I expected syncthing running in a docker container to be able to see only the directory specified in docker-compose. but I don't have access to these default settings. more precisely, on the "User Settings" tab, it is suggested to write what will be appropriate for the user. but I do not know how to do it correctly. and where to map the desired folder to the container.
It seems to me that the expected default folder would be ~/runtipi/media or something nearby in the user's home directory.

Gathering crowds

I tried to register the following structure in the "User Settings":
services:
syncthing:
volumes:
- /home/user/syncthing:/var/syncthing
now directories are created in /home/user/syncthing, but syncthing settings are also located there. It seems that I am doing something wrong.
Perhaps this is a feature of syncthing's work in the docker container and the tipi appstore cannot influence this in any way, I do not know. that's why I'm asking for help here.

Hello @lincooln,

You don't need to remap /var/syncthing/, instead you should add another volumes.
You just need to change your user-config a bit :

services:
  syncthing:
    volumes:
      - /home/user/syncthing:/home

I have used /home but you can use anything you want, I only suggest to keep it simple.
And you can add as many as you want.

Then from the GUI, you will be able to add and share the folder :
