Gives syntax error message on system start, retrying gives same error. Settings haven't been changed since installation.

I have this problem on a fresh Ubuntu 26.04 since yesterday when a few system updates were installed. It worked fine until the update.
Important update: I had some follow up Gnome platform updates that did not show up until today. After these updates, the extension works again.

It works now. I haven't done anything. The problem solved itself.

Is anybody's still not working? I noticed gnome extensions updated yesterday and that info Serge VK sent is interesting...

If anyone has the full error message or still has the issue after fully updating their system let me know.

Clicking on 'Software Updater' has become such an ingrained habit that I couldn't tell you when I did it. As the person who raised the bug report, I'm willing to accept that it was a temporary glitch caused by something in gnome that has been fixed, and the bug wasn't really a bug as such....

PS I'm on Ubuntu 26.04 - originally typed 25.10, then realised that I'd updated, but only half-corrected it. Oops....
