HFP with mSBC profile audio stutters a lot

Hi @rogovskyyy ,

I am using Arch Linux with Linux 5.17.4, bought TpLink UB500, The problem is when I use HFP with mSBC codec, source audio stream is completely stuttered. Can you please help me on this ? I am using pipewire 0.3.50 with wirplumber (master).

Hi @souravdas142

First of all sorry for little bit of delay in replay. The problem you're describing doesn't seem to be related with Bluetooth drivers. Have you tried to switch your microphone between each codec type e.g. mSBC and A2DP?

It seems issue of mSBC, because when I choose CVSD, it is not reproducing

Is it worth to report PipeWire ?, as I have drafted the issue at https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/souravdas142/pipewire/-/issues/1 (you can see for more details there)

I am planning to test more before actual reporting to upstream.

I am playing with new_alt different WBS alternate setting from 1 to 5

What sound server you are using with tplink-UB500 ?
