RTMP stream aborts with broken pipe at random times

Seen this multiple times now, streaming to spectra.video via rtmp://. Not really much output other than that the process terminates with message about broken pipe. More info may follow if we can find out what is the cause of the broken pipe. This error is almost certainly due to the piping from one ffmpeg to the other; which has been a requirement for performant running on OpenBSD.

This doesn't seem to occur when just recording to local file on the hard drive. So the internet connection and/or the rge(4) driver may be the cause of this. Of note, when I noticed the difference with Road to Vostok, streaming via rge(4) also led to a significant drop in the usual FPS from around 100 to 10-20. It seems likely that the writes to rge(4) device tax CPU resources...
