I find this plugin extremely helpful in MapLibre where I use it.
Although I miss some features:

I cannot collapse a directory in my legend in a way that is simply changes its height
As can be seen here, there should be an easy way to make the legend look like this by default when I load the map. This means without the layers being displayed below but with the directory title.

It would be helpful to add the option to make the selection of layers exclusive. In this case, enabling layer group A automatically would disable layer group B instead of showing them all at once
