Installation

Devaron is a portable Windows app. There is no installer workflow required for normal use.

Steps

  1. Download Devaron from https://devaron.app/#download
  2. Extract the downloaded package to a folder you control.
  3. Run Devaron.exe.
  4. Start the services you need from the Services screen.
  5. Put projects inside the www folder to use automatic local sites.

Recommended folder

Use a short path without special permissions, for example:

C:\Devaron

Avoid putting the app inside protected Windows folders such as Program Files unless you know exactly why you need that.

First run

On first run, Windows may ask for permissions when services bind ports or when local virtual hosts are enabled. This is expected for local web stacks that use ports such as 80, 443, 3306, 5432 or 6379.

Updating

Devaron includes update notices. When a new version is available, download the new package from the official website and replace the app files according to the update instructions shown by the app.
