Copy Genepiper data to other machine

I want to copy all my data in genepiper environment to other (better) machine, can I do it easily, like copy-paste, or I must input the data (OTU table, taxonomy, etc) again from scratch (because I already have many type of sample inputed on my old machine).

Hi @didietkeren,
All data in Genepiper are stored in virtual machine folder /srv/shiny-server/data.

1. Login to the old virtual machine in the terminal by vagrant ssh.
2. Copy all files from the folder.
3. Login to the new virtual machine.
4. Transfer all files to the same folder in the new virtual machine.

Can you give examples for step 2 and 4, from vm folder to localhost folder & vice versa?

Here is another easier way to do so. You may use the vagrant plugin vagrant-scp to copy the folder /srv/shiny-server/data from the virtual machine and transfer all files to the new machine. The usage of vagrant-scp can refer to the following link.
