Comparison with the Course

Hi. can someone tell me the difference between course on deep learning and the part of book about deep learning? if course is more complete, i would like to only sudy that one

Sure! Btw I wouldn't say it's more complete, just different 😅. I think they have different focus areas. E.g., some sections are more detailed in the lecture, and others are only in the book and not covered in the lecture (like graph neural networks or reinforcement learning).

In any case, I think that sounds like a good plan. I would perhaps complete the lecture but then consider the LLM book. For the LLM book you also don't need all the computer vision content btw.

yeah i'm not really concerned with those mentioned areas as i want to work in genomics and LLMs. your right. i should probably skip vision part or just work through it by the course and thats it. Lecture -> LLMs -> Reasoning models. what's next?

No, that would have been out of scope and not have fit in there. The book is about implementing an LLM from the ground up, and having chapters on implementign RNNs would have been too much jumping between topics.
