Flipper Zero can read tag data without needing to know the keys

I notice that I can read a Bambu Lab tag with a Flipper Zero without any keys. Did the blocks used to be encrypted or is the documentation incorrect? The production date of the filament is 4/29/2025.

Interesting, hmm! How were you reading the tags? Were you using the default NFC app?

If you're also down to share the .nfc file, that'd be great!

Yes, I was just using the default NFC app.

I just scanned one of my own tags using my Flipper Zero. And interestingly enough, it does actually see all of the data too!

To figure out better what's going on, I also scanned three more tags, including the Basic Green sample spool that came with my printer. Surely enough, all of them were read with no problems -- which means the Flipper Zero has a backdoor to be able to read the data even if the keys are unknown!

Now, that being said, I will still recommend generating the keys, because they will be needed in order to write the tags to reuse on the printer. But it's awesome that you don't need them on the Flipper Zero to read the tag data!
