Hi,

can you elaborate (on the page) why the TS0201 is Not recommended for purchase!?
You pretty sure know why, but maybe you can let everyone else know too and maybe also what is the best similar alternative device?

See documentation for the CHT8305 sensor. Minimum power supply is 2.5V, which does not allow using the batteries to the end (3..2.0V).

When the voltage drops, the CHT8305 sensor starts to give low readings (instead of +22C it can show -15C) or works unstably:

Low quality. Large deviations from real values ​​- depends on the manufacturer. Especially in terms of humidity.
This sensor is not designed to operate from 3V batteries.

I see, that makes sense. Wasn't the processor also rather preferring 2.8V or am i confusing this with something else.

I might've seen it before ordering more of these if it was more prominent.

The TLSR8258 chip operates from 3.6 to 1.8V.

It came to my mind to try out lithium ion AAA 1.5v cells, as they have a more stable voltage until the very end.
Surely the battery reading will not work as intended, however everything else could benefit from this.
What do you think?

There is no alternative to this thermometer with two cheap AAA batteries and no screen at a similar price.
It is usually used for work in sub-zero temperatures. Temperature does not affect AAA batteries much. The voltage and service life of CR2032..CR2450 (and lithium ion) batteries drop significantly at sub-zero temperatures.

The cheapest AAA. Works in "LE Long Range" mode so that the signal successfully passes through the walls of the refrigerator.

If the sensor was better, it would work for several years without changing batteries...
Otherwise, you need to make sure that the voltage does not fall below 2.5V. And you may get a sensor with poor quality readings...
