• hear or star if perfectly working rules

Or simply regular set of emojis to pick one from.

Implication:

• we need db connection for that

Good point @pawel-twardziak - I'd say we need to better understand and define root issue before jumping into implementation and new features. We definitely need some sort of feedback mechanism, but the goal should be about providing best possible rules at any point in time, instead of allowing poor rules to stay. Personally, I don't believe that many users would be interested in voting on poor rules - it's more likely they simply stop using the app or just download them once and edit locally. But that's only my bet.

So, maybe we can have just 👍 / 👎 that we collect and analyze in the background, instead of full reactions like on social media?

Maybe we should collect most popular rules in terms of user selections and downloads and simply iterate on these first?

Or maybe there should be a separate "feed of ideas" where users can publish new rules, others can rank it, and we frequently merge them into main collection from time to time?

Would be nice to see what others think.

Based on what you proposed @psmyrdek, my idea is as following:

Simple Reaction System (Phase 1)

• Count downloads and copies per rules
• Implement a basic emoji reaction system (👍 👎 ⭐ 🚀 💡) (nowadays the world leverages emotions - they strongly guide people as they bring life - simple thumb-up and thumb-down seem to be nothing...)
• Store reactions anonymously without requiring authentication (on the client side - simple localStorage-based persistance)
• Display reaction counts on each rule card
• Sort rules by popularity (reaction count) as an optional view (subtracting thumb-downs from the others' sum)

Outstanding Rules Badge (Phase 2)

• Automatically highlight rules with high engagement (e.g., 10+ positive reactions, the most downloaded/copied ones)
• Create a "Featured Rules" section on the homepage
• Add visual indicators (golden border, badge) for highly-rated/highly-downloaded|copied rules

Implementation Benefits:

• Low complexity: Simple database schema addition
• Immediate value: Users can quickly identify quality rules
• Viral potential: Popular rules encourage sharing
• No auth barrier: Anonymous reactions increase participation
