Are there plans to include the removed API Best Practices content elsewhere?

#266 removed the https://protobuf.dev/best-practices/api page.

This page https://web.archive.org/web/20250721031945/https://protobuf.dev/best-practices/api/ contained topics such as "Precisely, Concisely Document Most Fields and Messages", "Use Different Messages for Wire and Storage", or "Create Unique Protos per Method", etc., which otherwise may be gathered by watching some of talks given by gRPC developers.

Are there plans to have that information available publicly again elsewhere?

The feedback I got from engineering was that the page was extremely stale and had some odd recommendations. The staleness was likely due to the Protobuf team focusing on the serialization layer and not on the API/RPC/Service layer that this page was about. Notably the staleness was clear with examples that name "GooglePlus," which went EOL in 2019.

The existing content that was still useful was moved over to https://protobuf.dev/best-practices/dos-donts: "Do Use Different Messages For RPC APIs and Storage" and "Don't Use Booleans for Something That Has Two States Now, but Might Have More Later."
