[Bug] Unable to install v1.5 setup for certification

Describe the bug

After successfully cloning the certification tool repository getting this error on performing this command:
./scripts/pi-setup/auto-install.sh.

Steps to reproduce the behavior

Did the Fresh installation of Ubuntu Server 24.04.4 LTS (64 bits) into the pendrive.

Then performed the below steps for fresh installation of certification:

1. git clone -b v2.14-beta3+fall2025 https://github.com/project-chip/certification-tool.git --recurse-submodules
2. cd ~/certification-tool
3. ./scripts/pi-setup/auto-install.sh

Followed the above steps for installation and got the same issue, multiple times.

Expected behavior

The ./scripts/pi-setup/auto-install.sh command should work without any error.

Hi @rquidute,
After doing this it worked for me:

1. Edit /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ubuntu.sources and change:
2. Suites: noble to:
3. Suites: noble noble-updates

Could you please confirm if this is the correct/recommended fix?

After resolving the above issue, the TH UI was returning a 404 page not found error.
Then by referring to this PR: PR_v1.5 and doing the below steps it worked:

git checkout workaround_docker_traefik_issue_v_1_5
git pull
./scripts/ubuntu/auto-update.sh workaround_docker_traefik_issue_v_1_5

After performing the above steps too I was getting the error please find the error logs for that:
v1.5_workaround_error_log.txt
Finally, running: ./scripts/fix-docker-workaround.sh resolved the issue, and I was able to access the TH UI successfully.

Could you please confirm whether the above workaround steps are the correct way to run TH for v1.5?

Hi @ankurg-2910 the final version for Matter v1.5 is v2.14+fall2025.
Could you please try using this version (v2.14+fall2025) or the one mentioned by @naveenkommareddi (v2.14.1-beta2+winter2026)?

This was tried on v2.14+fall2025 by me and it failed in the same way, subsequently a CCB was created 4322.

I was not able to reproduce the issue — everything went fine on my end.
Can anyone please share the output of ./scripts/th/th-doctor.sh --complete as well as the logs from the certification-tool/logs folder?

We may have a candidate fix in the branch ccb_4322_v2.14+fall2025_candidate_fix_876. If anyone could try it on a formatted SD card, that would be very helpful.

Still failing with the CCB fix, the way to fix this is to add "noble-updates" to "/etc/apt/sources.list.d/ubuntu-sources" like below:
(PS I assume you are testing on Ubuntu 24.04.4LTS)
Types: deb URIs: http://ports.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-ports/ Suites: noble noble-updates Components: main restricted universe multiverse Signed-By: /usr/share/keyrings/ubuntu-archive-keyring.gpg
