trigger_void explicitly checks for anything whose classname would be "gib" but nowhere in the code is that classname ever set to anyone.

Additionally, if trigger_void is initially is_waiting|1, when switched on it doesn't seem to handle still things already touching it.

Two things need to be changed in the ThrowGib function (player.qc)

• set classname to gib;
• change solid type to SOLID_TRIGGER instead of SOLID_NOT, otherwise it'll never touch any trigger. The same must be done to ThrowHead as well.

As for just-enabled triggers not catching what's in it, that's a Quake physics limitation. Stationary onground objects other than players won't trigger touches, only while they're moving, so it'd need the force_retouch global to be set to 2, in order to force the engine to run touch checks for all map entities again. This can be done by modifying the target_setstate code by adding (yet another) classname exception, so when it unlocks a trigger_void it also sets force_retouch.

Honestly by this point it might be better off doing as I did in Alkaline and adding a .th_setstate callback, to let each entity's own code handle eventual special lock/unlock cases, instead of adding a bunch of classname exceptions to the entity_set_state function.

Another thing: if you set dead monsters bodies to SOLID_TRIGGER as well, that also allows them to be caught by trigger_void. This requires manually changing the death sequence in every monsters code, but it can be done in a few minutes at most.
