NDI video stream crashes the DomeView Quest 3 client

Hello,

I downloaded and installed the Dome View client from the App Lab. Local files run fine, but NDI streams crash the app. Upon selecting an NDI stream (which is verified to be working using the NDI studio monitor), there is a momentary flash of the correct video in the headset and then nothing, followed by the user being returned to the home environment. This exact same behaviour also happens on the Quest 2. It is acting like there is a buffer problem of some kind. At the moment the Dome View app only works for local files but not NDI. I am on a fast local router so that should not be the issue.

Hey, what NDI version does your sender use? And what resolution/framerate do you send, and do you also send audio along?

Would you be able to get us adb logs from when the crash happens?

The NDI software I am using is the current v6.0.1.0 downloaded from: https://ndi.video/tools/

I tried streaming 3 different Mp4 files. Each file behaves exactly the same: visible for a moment and then the crash.

These are the properties of the 3 files:

1. 1920 * 1080, 30 fps, no sound
2. 1200 * 729, 23.98 fps, no sound
3. 1280 * 676, 25 fps, 2 channel sound

I send the NDI via the default VLC that comes with the NDI toolset.

This happens with fresh installations of DomeViewer on both the Quest 3 and the Quest 2 headsets.

At the moment I have no idea where the ADB log data is on the Quest.

By the way, the DomeViewer Quest app has a local media selector which currently shows the wrong path. I was able successfully put those 3 files at location: Internal shared storage\Android\data\com.prefrontalcortex.virtualdome\files

For me, it crashes when sending sound and works fine without. sending from touchdesigner

how do you play local content. when i launch the apps can't see the menu . i am just in the Dome. .... Likte this . Thanks for your answer .
