More a question than an issue..
Are there plans to enable this new feature in dash ag grid? https://www.ag-grid.com/javascript-data-grid/formulas/

This is new as of Ag Grid v35.

We have a pre-release available:
pip install dash-ag-grid==35.0.0rc0

We haven't tested forumulas, but if you do, please let us know how it goes. Note that this is an Ag Grid Enterprise feature.

Great, I got it installed and did a bunch of testing. Good news is the formulas do work which is great to see. Here are my main findings/questions based on the testing:

1. According to the docs, "If a column enables formulas and does not specify a cellEditor, the grid automatically uses the Formula Cell Editor". That doesn't seem to be the case in the dash version, and so I don't get to take advantage of clicking other cells to include in the formula, range highlighting, handles, or function autocomplete. I even tried including "cellEditor" in the columnDef and assigning it "agFormulaCellEditor" (following other cell editor naming conventions) but that did not work either. Here is what I was referencing to try to get the autocomplete and other features to work.
2. The columnDef requires "allowFormula" AND "editable" to be set to True, instead of only "allowFormula" like the docs suggest. This not an issue and honestly makes sense, just wanted to point it out. I'm wondering if it's at all tied to whatever is happening with the cellEditor?
3. I was particularly excited to test out the custom function feature, but I wasn't exactly sure how to go about it in a pythonic way. Any insight on how this should be done? Will we be able to tie it to python functions?

The formula editor was available as of Ag Grid v35.1.0 which was released just a few days ago. See https://www.ag-grid.com/whats-new/

I expect that we will upgrade to 35.1.0 for the full dash-ag-grid v35 release. ( @BSd3v ?)

The custom Formula Functions may have to be enabled in dag to work properly, but they do need to be written in JavaScript rather than Python. You can find more information here: https://dash.plotly.com/dash-ag-grid/javascript-and-the-grid

All of that makes sense. Really looking forward to all of these features, thank you for all the work needed to include them!

Just thought of another thing that'd be super helpful.. if there was a different version of "rowData" that could be pulled down in a callback that shows the evaluated value instead of the formula

The easiest way to do this is probably with valueGetters. Have a hidden column with the calculated values.
