Feature Request: Zephyr + native_posix board

It would be great if we could build a zephyr project by selecting native_posix board in platformio.
Does anyone knows the status of this feature?
Is it planned somewhere in near future?

Agreed, native_posix would allow for test and debug of board independent code.
