Connecting Planetscale Postgres to Worker/Hyperdrive + Drizzle?

Looking to use Planetscale Postgres. Currently connecting our CF Worker to Postgres DB using a connection string with Drizzle and pg Pool.

Drizzle docs show how to connect to Planetscale client @planetscale/database - is this for Postgres as well as MySQL? If yes, is there any difference whether using direct connection vs pgBouncer?
