I tried running the AppImage from the terminal and it crashes as soon as it starts.
These are the errors reported in the terminal:

WARNING: Cannot find CA Certificates in '/etc'!
Gtk-Message: 17:40:27.127: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"
Gtk-Message: 17:40:28.568: Failed to load module "colorreload-gtk-module"
Gtk-Message: 17:40:28.569: Failed to load module "window-decorations-gtk-module"

I am encountering this error on openSUSE Tumbleweed. How can I resolve it?

I tested the AppImage on Fedora and it seems to work correctly here, but I would like to point out a few things:

• the window title bar only shows the close X symbol; the symbols for minimizing and maximizing the window are missing;
• the configuration folder is created in /home instead of /home/.config;
• the layout is very zoomed in and no key combination can reduce the size of the font and icons.

I believe this is because the version of webkit2gtk4 that archlinux ships uses gtk3 instead of gtk4

wayland GNOME doesn't support server side decorations, so applications have to draw their own and you get issues like that.

edit: I'm assuming you are using wayland gnome

I would also like to point out that on Fedora, when running AppImage, there are many lines with this warning in the terminal: (mmex:725853): Gtk-WARNING **: 18:56:14.151: Negative content width -4 (allocation 30, extents 17x17) while allocating gadget (node button, owner GtkButton)

Are you sure these problems are specific to the appimage?

This has also happened to me with other AppImages. Should I test their Flatpak version to see if the same problem occurs? But I don't think there are any open issues regarding this.

Yes, on Fedora.
On openSUSE, I use KDE (both Wayland and X11 if necessary).

Then I can try to force Wayland decorations with variables or try in the X11 session to see if it has the same bugs.
