[Request] Move pointer to the center of new keyboard focused window

I believe it would be great to add an api function to put the pointer to the center of the focused window, so that keyboard refocusing is smooth as it is in hyprland for example

FYI, #144 plans to add broader cursor/keyboard manipulation.

This may be somewhat different since IIUC what you want would be a Window:warp_cursor(rel_x, rel_y) (or just drop the relative positioning and always warp to center)

oh yeah i saw that one and i get the low priority tag for sending all the other input events

though in my opinion this exact feature is kinda critical for user experience, as rn i saw a number of complaints on focus behaviour

is there somebody working on it now? i am a beginner and it will take some time for me to understand the codebase and smithay, but i would like to be helpful, if nobody is working on it now anyways

Not at the moment.

I would suggest against a Window:warp_cursor method in favor of a more general pointer warp function. This way you can just pass in the location calculated from a window on focus.
