Now we define custom JS related to maps using:

[[project.extra.maps_javascript]]
path = "javascripts/leaflet.js"

[[project.extra.maps_javascript]]
path = "javascripts/maps_show_routs.js"

This is injected in the html only when the maps: true feature flag appears in the preamble of a .md page.

The problem with instant navigation is that, if we first land on a page without the maps functionality enabled, then transitioning to a page with it, the browser doesn't reload the entire page and the extra JS is basically missing (this can be verified in the Elements tab of the browser's dev tools).

If we directly land on a page with maps then the maps functionality is available. Same if we reload the page (it executes all JS on all pages).

This is why things work with instant navigation if instead we define:

[[project.extra_javascript]]
path = "javascripts/leaflet.js"

[[project.extra_javascript]]
path = "javascripts/maps_show_routs.js"

as the maps scripts would be available globally.

Maybe feature flags that add JS cannot be used with instant navigation?
