Sorry but it seems to me that this README assumes way too much prior knowledge.
It's not obvious to me what kind of workflow to set up, why an inventory is needed before a scan for exposure catalog, where catalogs are supposed to come from and why they're not automatically pulled, why you need snapshots/state/etc.
