It would be great if you could test the new version of LeafWiki.

Changes in this version

• autocompletion for Markdown links
• a potential fix for the macOS bug
  (I could not test this myself since I do not have a macOS machine)
• removal of tree.json
  • content should be migrated automatically
  • please make a backup before testing :D
• preservation of other frontmatter fields
  (the first version stripped them)
• introduction of a .order.json file to store the order of pages within a section

Background

This change should help reduce conflicts, since we no longer have a global tree.json.

LeafWiki now generates the in-memory tree from the filesystem.
The app is still the source of truth; the filesystem is only used as storage.

What to test

• Does the autocompletion work properly?
• Does the migration work correctly?
• Do copy, move, rename, and sort work as expected?
• Is the page order preserved after a restart?

Notes

I have added test cases and tested it on my machine, but more eyes would really help.

Once you migrated you will not be able to move back to a previous version. (Just to let you know :))

Hello @perber, same here — I downloaded and tested the image, but I’ve been busy this week, so I’ve only been able to test it partially.

I’ll test it more thoroughly this weekend, but for now autocomplete and page navigation are working well.

By the way, I’m on Mac and didn’t notice any issues when opening it. The only difference was that the controls didn’t match those indicated at first, but now the correct controls are displayed, so everything is fine.
