AzTable does not work in Azure Automate

I know this is for AzRmStorageTable but I see you are an owner for AzTable:

It's not working properly at all with Azure Automate. I've tried every version.

Version 2.0.1 and 2.1.1- gives blank output
Versions 2.0.2, 2.0.3, 2.0.4 - give <"command> is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet" messages

Are there any updates planned to fix this so it works properly in Azure Automation? Let me know if you need more info. Thanks!

It does work, however CRUD operations on tables require a cloudTable object has been retrieved by using the storage account key.

Here is a similar issue with a comparison of working and not working code example. #76. This seems to be a limitation of the API provided by Microsoft.

If you do not want to provide the storage account key directly but want to use the managed identity of your automation account to retrieve it, then try the following code:

$storageAccount=Get-AzStorageAccount -ResourceGroupName $storageAccountResGroupName -Name $storageAccountName
if (-not $storageAccountCtx) {
	Write-Error "Storage account '$storageAccountName' not found in resource group '$storageAccountResGroupName'. Exiting script."
	return
}
$cloudTable = (Get-AzStorageTable -Name $tableName -Context $storageAccount.Context).CloudTable
Add-AzTableRow -table $cloudTable -partitionKey "$partitionKey" -rowKey "$rowKeyDatePart"  -property $data -ErrorAction Stop

Please note that your automation account's managed identity needs a role like Contributor (or least one that includes Microsoft.Storage/storageAccounts/listkeys/action) on that storage account to retrieve the access key.
