Output truncated

When running termframe to generate an svg of this command output:

Could this be to do with the fact that the output has an animated spinner?

Thanks for reporting this! The issue here is that termframe has an execution timeout for the command, which defaults to 5 seconds (--timeout flag). Your emerge -pv blender command takes about 6.8 seconds to complete (as indicated by "Dependency resolution took 6.72 s" in the output), so it exceeds the default timeout.

When the timeout is reached, the subprocess is killed and whatever output has been rendered up to that point is captured — which is why you see a truncated result.

The timeout exists because commands executed by termframe are not attached to an actual terminal — the user cannot see what's going on or interact with the process. Instead, commands are connected to an internal pseudo-terminal that is used solely to render the output.
Without a timeout, an interactive command that waits for user input would run forever, and the termframe process would never exit.

You can work around this by increasing the timeout, e.g.:

termframe --timeout 15 -- emerge -pv blender --binpkg-respect-use=n

This sets the timeout to 15 seconds, which should be more than enough for your command.
